Book Sale

The Friends of the Marshall Public Library put together 2 book sales each year. One in the spring and one in the fall. Items in the sale are donated items that we did not add to our collection and older items that we have weeded from our collection. The money they raise goes right back into the library for new shelves, chairs, ipads, computers, and so much more. We are very grateful for all that the friend do for us at MPL. Most of the books are in the community room but this photo was taken in the lobby. As you can see this year was busy.

Day or Date in the title

One of our 50/50 book quest categories is a book with a day or date in the title. Library patrons were having a hard time finding items for this category so that became our next display.

Read Know Grow with Dewey

I wanted something to highlight nonfiction at our library. There are 2 books from each NF area. This display was put up just as fall was hitting. The tree began with green leaves and then about 2 weeks later when our leaves outside started to change I changed them to orange too.

Banned books 2018

Celebrating banned books week. However we kept the display up all month.

Kindness week 2018

Our city celebrated Kind week in September every year. This year for our bulletin board we used famous kindness quotes and emojs. Then every day of the week an activity was added.
