Book group!

Even though we cannot meet in person my book group met virtually. We used Zoom this month to discuss our book. It worked really well and we plan on doing it this way next month too.

Summer Reading!

This is our bulletin board for summer reading with the theme Imagine your story!

Board has a table in from of it with handouts telling how to register online.
Everything is online this year so there is a table in front of this board with how to register online.

We had to move a lot of the furniture and computers into the story time room and this "wall" was built it gives kids the perfect place to take a photo. (Wall built because of COVID-19 guidelines)
I love how this makes her look like she has wings :)

Arts & Crafts Program: Quilt block

Our program for adults made quilt block trivets today. We had several sewing machines brought in along with ironing boards. My coworker lead the class and taught the basic 9 patch quilt block and one that is a little more advanced. It was fun! Pictured below are the blocks we finished. I can't wait to have mine sitting on my table. It is the perfect size to set my frying pan on.

COVID-19

COVID-19 information board that I did not put together (my coworker did) but I still wanted to post. We have had so many questions about the virus and now it can be found on this lovely board.

Don't forget all the wonderful online options we have!
This is our welcome chalkboard that we often write interesting facts or stats on. I thought it was funny.

Marshall Madness 2020

It's that time of year again for Marshall Madness! This year to mix things up a bit we are doing a staff favorites edition. I asked library staff to nominate a favorite book and now we get to VOTE! Voting takes place at the library and online (using a Google form).

Each week titles with the most votes will move onto the next round. This will go on for 4 weeks and the winner will be announced at the end of the month. I will update this post with the winner announced. For past Marshall Madness displays click here.
