Books are like GOLD

We used streamers to make a rainbow leading to a pot of golden books.

Books in the display have the subject heading TREASURE.

Pot of gold is a dutch oven. Then we took old Reader's Digest books and covered them with gold.

My co-worker's hair matches the rainbow!

Primary Bulletin Board

The theme for Primary in 2016 is I know the scriptures are true. The thing I love about this board is the simple border. I used a black plastic table cloth for the background and duct tape for the border. Super easy and it will last all year. The left side is where we are going to put our reading logs each month.

Added a baby crocheted hat and an super long scarf for a "cozy" touch.

2016 primary theme

This is another board in the primary room. I used punched out circles for the boarder. Scripture of the month are on the white papers and then shadowed with a bright piece of scrapbook paper.

2015 Primary theme

 Last years primary theme was I Know that my Savior lives. For this board I wanted to have pictures of the primary children. First I made a timeline of the Savior's life with the painting of him teaching the children in the middle.

Monthly themes are on the circles at the bottom. Blue side panel has the scripture we are working on and one of the songs we learned during the year.

I then took individual pictures of the primary children looking to one side so that it would appear that they were looking at Jesus.

I cut the pictures of the children out and mounted them around the picture of Jesus with the children.

I loved how it turned out. 

Remembering Veteran's Day

This year I decided to do a display to honor our vets for the month of November. (Veteran's Day is Nov 11th)

Books on the display included historical fiction war stories about American soldiers throughout history.
